All three partners of the common office in Brussels offer young motivated people the opportunity to carry out an internship. The procedures and the candidate requirements are different for the three regions.

Twice a year, the European Commission offers 5-month traineeships (March-July, October-February) in the fields of administration and written translation to 1.300 new graduates. Trainees will be awarded a monthly grant. The amount of which is decided by the Traineeships office.
The European Parliament offers 4 kinds of internships:
1. “Robert Schuman” traineeships for university graduates in 3 options: general, for journalism and human rights (“Sakharov Prize”),
2. Compulsory and non-compulsory training placements for high school graduates,
3. Translation traineeships for university graduates (in Luxembourg),
4. Translation training placements
Council of the European Union
The Council of the European Union offers 100 paid traineeships a year to university graduates at the General Secretariat, each lasting 5 months (February-June, September-January) and 20 unpaid traineeships to third, fourth or fifth year university students who have to carry out a compulsory training period as part of their course.
The European Ombudsman offers traineeships, twice a year, primarily to university law graduates. The traineeships take place either in Strasbourg or in Brussels according to the needs of the Office.
The Committee of the Regions offers 5-month traineeships to university graduates (16th of February-15th of July, 16th of September-15th of February). The traineeships are paid.
Twice a year, the European Economic and Social Committee offers long-term traineeships (5 months) touniversity graduates and short-term traineeships (1-3 months) to students and new graduates.
Each year, the EIB offers paid traineeships to university students and new graduates (1-5 months) in its headquarters in Luxemburg, so that they can gain a better understanding of the Bank’s work.
Twice a year, the Court of Justice of the European Union offers 5-month traineeships (March-July, February-October). The traineeships take place in Luxembourg and candidates are required to have an excellent knowledge of the French language.
Starting from 2016, the European Court of Auditors organizes 3traineeship sessions per year, beginning on the 1st of February, the 1st of May and the 1st of September. They last up to 5 months and take place in Luxembourg.
Every 18 months, the European External Action Service opens a call for around 80 long-term traineeships (9 months) for young professionals, 2 per Member State, in one of the 139 EU delegations around the world.
The EU Aid Volunteers platform gives 4.000 European citizens the opportunity to volunteer outside the European borders in a developing country affected by conflicts and natural disasters.
Every year, NATO offers among others paid traineeships for graduates in Political Science, engineers, aeronautical engineers and media or journalism graduates. A profound knowledge of Russian, Ukrainian or Arabic is welcome.
