On 28 and 29 March, as part of the active citizenship project "From the Common EU", a group of 37 students of the three years of the four strands of the Liceo Rosmini: classic, language, science and applied science, made a study trip in Brussels. The two-year project is now in its second phase which, in addition to training sessions, foresees a visit to the European institutions in Brussels, Strasbourg and Frankfurt.
The study program allowed students to visit the Committee of the Regions, the European Parliament and the European Commission. On March 28 the students were welcomed at the Representation of the European Region Tyrol - Alto Adige / Südtirol - Trentino by the director of the Office for Relations with the European Union by Valeria Liverini who explained the functioning and the objectives of the office, the role of the EGTCs and the macro-regional strategies, as well as the functioning of the European decision-making process. Moreover, the EU Brussels organized a meeting with the Herbert Dorfmann, Member of the European Parliament, who focused his speech on the challenges and critical issues that the EU is facing at the moment, highlighting the importance of responding to the "great danger for Europe" represented by the Eurosceptic movements.
