On 24th October 2016 the ERRIN Network, in collaboration with EAFIP (European Assistance For Innovation Procurement), organizeed a workshop for ERRIN members on procurement of innovative solution, with a focus on the opportunities for regions in this sector.

The workshop's program foresaw the contribution of representatives of the European Commission, who presented scope and objectives of innovative procurement, the EAFIP initiative (European Assistance for Innovative Procurement) launched by the Commission, and the funding opportunities made available by Horizon 2020. A specific session was dedicated to the presentation of four regional case-studies of innovative procurement projects carried out by ERRIN Member Regions.

In this context the Autonomous Province of Trento presented the project NYMPHA (Next Generation Mobile Platforms for HeAlth in mental Disorders). NYMPHA is a PCP Project (Pre-Commercial Procurement) co-financed by the European Commission through the Seventh Framework Program for Research and Technological Development, that aims at developing and testing new mobile eHealth services in support of the treatment and monitoring of patients affected by mental illnesses.

Within the Consortium implementing the project the Autonomous Province of Trento, through the Department of Health and Social Solidarity, the Service of Mental health of the Provincial Health Agency and the Provincial Procurement Agency, acts as the main procurer while Create-Net is the project co-ordinator.
