The Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission has recently launched a public consultation on the Interim evaluation of the European Institute of Innovation and Tecnhology.

The consultation is open from the 26th of August until the 14th November 2016 and its objective is to ensure that all stakeholder groups as well as the general public have a say in EIT future direction.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology is an independent EU body set up in 2008 to enhance Europe’s ability to innovate by nurturing entrepreneurial talent and supporting new ideas. The EIT creates favourable environments for creative thoughts to enable world-class innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe. It also aims to put together business, education and research to promote trans-border synergies and cooperation.

The public consultation survey is available online and open to any individual or organisation interested in submitting a response.

On the web site is also available an “evaluation roadmap” that collects and shows targets and terms of this European Commission’s initiative.

The results of the public consultation together with the other evidence and a Staff working document will be published by mid-2017.
