EASME, the Executive Agency for SMEs of the European Commission, has developed and made available on line an interactive tool that allows to brows projects and beneficiaries of the first two years of the Horizon 2020 Sme Instrument.

The published data include an abstract of the funded proposals as well as the georeferencing of the beneficiary SME.

Based on data made available by EASME, ASTER the Consortium for the innovation and industrial research of the Emilia Romagna Region, carried out a study on the Italian participation in the SME Instrument. The study shows that Italy, in absolute terms, is the most active country in the program with 3709 proposals submitted.

The performance is very good as well in terms of projects funded: Italy places second with 276 approved projects, only following Spain (309). In terms of success rates (ratio of submitted proposals and funded projects) Italy places fifth with a 7% ratio following the UK (11.2%), Spain (10.6%), Germany ( 8.8%) and France (7.9%).
