The Brussels EU liaison Office of the autonomous Province of Trento organised together with the University of Trento on 4th-5th February 2016 a study visit in Brussels for a group of professors and researchers of the university.

 The Brussels Office welcomed the delegation from Trento and provided a first overview of the services offered, the EU funding programmes under direct management and the synergies between the EU funds.

This was followed by an intense programme of meetings mainly at DG Research and Innovation (European Commission) and the Research Executive Agency (REA); the aim was to address and increase awarness on several aspects of interest for the University of Trento within the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. International cooperation in H2020, the ethical aspects of H2020, the characteristics of the 2016-2017 work programme are just some of the main topics that was discussed during the visit.

On 5th February, it was scheduled a meeting with APRE, the Agency for the Promotion of European Research, to give an overview of the services offered by the Agency. APRE EU Liaison Office hosts all the Italian National Contact Points of Horizon 2020, which provide public and private institutions and individuals with support to submit a proposal for funding in the field of Research, Technological Development and Innovation.
