The Representation of the European Region Tyrol - South Tyrol - Trentino in Brussels hosted on October 16, 2017 the first roundtable of the newly formed Alumni association of the University of Trento (UNITN) in Brussels. The association, for now informal, seeks to be a platform for exchange, comparison, networking and mutual learning for all the former students present in the area. Regardless of the faculty of origin and current profession, the association aims to be a reference point for all UNITN students who will arrive in the future in the European capital The initiative starts from the awareness of the importance of networking in Brussels and the promotion of the quality of training offered by the University of Trento.

After several informal meetings organized in the previous months, the meeting at the headquarters of the European Region Tyrol – South Tyrol - Trentino was aimed at defining more specifically the expectations of alumni interested in participating in future activities and deciding how to proceed further.

After a greeting of the Rector, Professor Paolo Collini, of the Alumni Office Manager of the University of Trento, Professor Della Lucia, and the Director of the EU Brussels Office of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Ms. Liverini, the participants discussed a number of themes. In particular, the debate focused on the purposes, means and vision of which an Alumni UNITN network in Brussels should be equipped to meet the needs and interests of those already living and working in Brussels - or of those who will do so soon.
