On the 9th of June 2017, on the occasion of the annual Assembly of the Trentino Federation of Cooperation, the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Ugo Rossi and the President of the Federation, Mauro Fezzi, have signed the new Memorandum of Understanding aimed to strengthen the long-term collaboration between the Province and the Federation.

The renewed collaboration will focus on ten different fields of intervention in the next three years, among which the memorandum includes activities at the European level as core theme. In line with the Provincial Law n. 2/2015 concerning the enhancement of the participation of Trentino stakeholders to European policies and programmes through a common territorial promotion desk hosted by the EU Liaison Office in Brussels of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Memorandum underlines the intention of the Federation to support and strengthen the collaboration and the activities already launched within this framework.

Hence, with regard to European initiatives supporting innovation, technology transfer, education and creation of new cooperative enterprises, internationalization of the Trentino cooperative system and its associated cooperative enterprises, the collaboration between the Federation and the Province will be promoted and pushed forward within the EU-TIPS platform.

The collaboration will be implemented through a jointly defined annual annual work program including sets of activities spanning from monitoring and scouting of opportunities within European programmes and initiatives, to supporting the submission of project proposals of mutual strategic interest, as well as networking and supporting the interaction with the European institutions and with the EU Delegations in third countries benefiting from European external action programs.
